UNSW Sydney hosts the ARC Training Centre for The Global Hydrogen Economy (GlobH2E), that is active in developing technologies and assessing business value chain for hydrogen and derivative economy. Through GlobH2E UNSW is playing a key role in mapping the value chain for Australian hydrogen exports to overseas, delivering key projects such as the Australia-Germany Hydrogen Value Chain Feasibility Study.
Role in the project:
Within this project, UNSW will explore the potential of exporting Australian hydrogen to Luxembourg as well as work alongside partners to evaluate the technical and economic viability of green hydrogen utilisation for green steel production, and engage in knowledge sharing activities to inform these lessons back to Australia and its industry keen on exporting hydrogen in form of green steel and direct reduced iron.
