VSCHT Prague
VSCHT Prague was established in 1952 as the public technical university in the former Czechoslovakia. Now, VSCHT Prague focuses on high-quality education and research in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical and food engineering and technology, and environmental protection in the Czech Republic. Due to close cooperation with the chemical industry and numerous national and international R&D projects, it will participate in the LuxHyVal project as the Follower Valley partner.
Role in the project:
At VSCHT Prague, our focus is on conducting detailed and tailored technical and economic feasibility studies, drawing on the expertise and data gathered from LuxHyVal partners. Our team will oversee the design and implementation of LuxHyVal infrastructure in Luxembourg, providing valuable hands-on experience to two young researchers to replicate the Hydrogen Valley concept in the Czech Republic. Additionally, we collaborate closely with the Czech Hydrogen Technology Platform (HYTEP) to develop plans for potential Follower Hydrogen Valleys in key industrial areas such as Northern Moravia (Ostrava) or Northern Bohemia (Most). Established in 2006 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, HYTEP serves as a vital platform for fostering awareness and coordinating activities related to hydrogen technologies.
